LED "EDGE" LIGHTING LEAVES FLUORESCENT AND NEON LIGHTING IN THE DUST! To illuminate an etched acrylic or glass sheet (generally 3/8" or 1/2" thickness), lighing is hidden from sight and aimed INTO the sheet from the sides; light is then reflected throughout the sheet producing a brilliant illuminated effect of the etched design.
Above is an example of a high impact commercial EDGE LIGHTING visual application using LEDS as the light source. A picture, graphic or combination is laser etched into acylic sheet. The acrylic is then illuminated with color changing or solid color LED lighting. The edge lighted product can be stand mounted (as in the picture above), suspended or frame mounted.
LED colors are brilliant and intense; LEDs give off no UV and very little heat; LEDS are lightweight; LEDS use very little energy and operate from safe and low 12 or 24 volts; LEDs have very long life, lasting up to 100,000 hours.
