| JEM LIGHTING’S Star Drive 200 is designed to provide fixed colors, or a slow to fast random color changing effect when connected to our RGB light strips. Up to 16 feet of RGB strips can be connected to each unit. Control of each color red, green, or blue is selected through the mode control DIP switch setting to allow three coarse speeds or manual select. The tempo potentiometer adjusts the fine speed and controls the rate of color blending. If the manual feature is selected it allows the user to go from full off to full on of the selected color. This allows a broad range of effects all the way from a slow soothing color wash up to a lively strobe effect of rapid changing colors. By turning one or more colors to manual, custom colors can be generated. An example is to turn off the red and leave green and blue on; this will create a sea effect of blues, aquas and greens. If a steady color is desired, it can be generated by setting all color modes to manual, allowing the user to create a fixed color. There is also a master dimmer control to allow the user to set the brightness. This is useful when setting soft moods in dim ambient light.
The Star Drive 200 is perfect for small installations in home theaters, clubs, casinos, restaurants, bars and other venues to create a soothing atmosphere of soft color changing splash lighting. The Star Drive 200’s low cost allows lighting solutions to be implemented that previously could only be done with systems (DMX) costing several times more. |
